Served as pilot in Air Force front-line units. Graduated from MAI in 1969. Since 1971 worked as leading engineer at A.I.Mikoyan EDB. Since 1975 was a test-navigator at A.I. Mikoyan EDB. Worked on development of armament systems, electronic and navigational equipment of MiG-31 airplane. As test-navigator logged 946 flying hours. Died in test flight on MiG-31 together with A.V.Fedotov, test-pilot. Awarded with Honor Mark Order, medals.
